Wedding Dress Belts/Sash

Who didn't wear one or doesn't plan on wearing one?? Who is wearing one or has worn one?! I ordered one and as I keep looking back at the pictures I am not liking it anymore. I just find the ones in the bridal stores so damn expensive. I have looked at Etsy/Ebay and have found some really nice ones...

I just find the ones in the bridal stores so damn expensive. I have looked at Etsy/Ebay and have found some really nice ones for a more decent price but am nervous on the quality once I receive it. Any suggestions?

I havent decided if this is the one I am going to buy. But this is the one I tried on and since my dress is plain, I think a sash would be nice.

I got one for my dress.. It's just enough bling that it doesn't take away from he lace and makes the dress really pop!

Since you asked who didn't wear one, I didn't. I kind of wanted one, but like you said they can be pretty pricey and I realized I didn't need one. In the end, I'm glad I didn't have one because I don't think it would have been the right look. My dress did come with a plain tulle sash that I wore, but I'm assuming you're talking about the pretty sparkly ones.

@Kiwi -- those are some awesome photoshop skills!! I would never have thought to try that to really see what it would look like on

@Katie -- going to Michaels!! I had no idea they sold them there and that one looks great!!

Thank you ladies! I think Etsy might be my saving grace (first going to check Michaels) and btw -- all of those look amazing. I really think I'm going to find a belt but maybe just not the one I ordered already.

@Kiwi, I ordered a very simliar belt from Etsy --cost me about $50 and the quality was great! I wore it at my most recent alterations appointment and was SO happy with my choice. Can't wait to wear it in about a month. Smiley smile https://www.etsy.com/listing/215838031/bridal-sash-belt-bridal-belt-sash-belt?ref=shop_home_active_1&ga_search_query=159

My dress has a lot of beadwork and lace appliqué on the bodice, so I'm not wearing a belt or a sash or anything. Just the dress.

I tried my dress on and it felt plain so I tried it on with a sash. At first I liked it but after looking at pics I decided not to wear one. 1- the bow took away the back of the dresses look 2- I decided to add some sequence along the right side (blends in with the top sequence on my dress) and I also want to make the top sweetheart shape. My dress will look pretty different once it's done but here's the dress with the sash and without -also without any alterations/additions

1- front (I apologize in advance I'm on my cell)

I actually ordered my belt off amazon. It was $30 and is beautiful. It's amazing how much cheaper you can find them and how gorgeous they still look! I ordered mine thinking if it didn't go with my dress I could give it to a BM to use.

@BmoreBride - Yay! That's really good to hear about the quality, because the belt I posted is from the same shop! Same price to. I'm so excited now Smiley laugh

@Mrs.Reyes2B - I LOVE your blue belt. It's a really great pop of color, so pretty.

@CMH I love the simplicity of that belt. I tried my dress on with and without a belt, I think I like it with better but my dress has a lot of lace detail I don't want something so bold and blingy to take away. The thin belt with pearls is perfect!!!
