Wedding Dress Anxiety | Fun or Drag?!

By anxiety, do you mean you haven't bought your dress yet, or that you got one and now have second thoughts?


If you don't have a dress yet... get one ASAP. Go shopping NOW. My dress took over 5 months to come in. Things are very slow because of COVID.

My wedding is July 2022, and I actually just bought a dress a couple weeks ago! So it's not impossible to get a dress in this time frame. Jasmine E. is correct that if you're ordering a dress, you would want to start looking ASAP. However, you do have other options! There are places where the dresses take a shorter time to come in (in some cases, the designer has a bunch of standard sizes in stock and those take much less time to arrive, since they're already made), or the dress can be rush ordered, and there are other places where you can buy the dress off the rack or even buy a sample dress from the shop. Also check out secondhand shops or online - often times, pre-owned dresses are still new with tags and unaltered, though much cheaper than a new dress.

Update*** I have an appointment tomorrow with a bridal boutique that sells off the rack and made to order. My mother and my children will be accompanying me to the appointment. Thanks for lighting a fire under me to just do it!

View Quoted Comment No luck yesterday, but I was very optimistic. I have another appointment in there Los Angeles boutique end of next month but also again next Friday. I even scheduled one at good ol David’s Bridal on the 22nd with my bridesmaids. It’ll happen this coming month and I will for sure share. ♥️🥂💪🏽

Yep, my wedding is exactly 6 months from tomorrow and I don't have my dress yet. That should change as of tomorrow though, hopefully.

Our dress looks alike. Even though this isn't me in my dress. This is the exact dress I order. I had the waterworks as well. I'm so happy you found your dress. You got this and your big mama will be with you in spirit and most definitely in your heart on your big day.
