Hello everyone!

I'm a bit of a biker chick/rock and roll girl at heart and while I would I loved nothing more than to wear a black wedding dress literally everyone told me no. Lol.
So to compromise I wanted to wear shoes that kind of suit...well..me. But I don't want it to clash to a point where I look back at photos 20 years down the road and cringe.
With that being said, I ask for your advice!

Maybe... but it's likely that no one will see your shoes, so you could wear them and hike your dress up for a few fun photos then take the rest with your dress covering in case you decide one day that you no longer like it lol.

Because of how long the dress is I don’t even think anybody will notice. Also do you have the dress already. I would order the shoe and try it on worse case scenario they don’t work and you can either return them or keep them for regular wear.

I do have the dress already and I'm going to the alteration fitting soon so I was thinking of trying them on there.

I definitely love the shoes and will keep them anyway! I'm just hoping to keep that little homage to myself that day. Either that or black nail polish lol!

Whatever shoes you’re wearing at the wedding should be worn at the fitting because they’re going to alter it to a certain length just be mindful of that.

I'm so sorry you don't feel like you can wear a dress that suits your style. I agree with the others who say with that dress, it doesn't really matter what you wear on your feet because no one will see your shoes.

I know someone who wore converse with her wedding dress, and one of my co workers will be wearing cowgirl boots with hers! I absolutely love when brides add little details that go with their personality, so I say wear the shoes

I say wear the shoes that make you feel like you!
The dress is so big no one will see them anyway so the suggestion of having one or two pictures with the dress hiked up to show them is a great idea. I also think you should totally do the black nail polish!

Idk about shoes but what about doing some photos in a leather jacket? I think that would look amazing with your dress!

I the dress is super traditional - can you add some elements to the dress (sounds like it’s already purchased). Maybe have them add some black lace or a different neckline?

I think they would be fun to change to at the verend, to leave, or on your honeymoon. I often like shoes or boots that are dramatically different. But not these. The RD for a completely black or black and white night ( for you) would be fun, too.
