Wedding dress alterations

Ask your alterations shop, but usually 3 months out is a safe bet so they can space out the fittings some so they have time to work.

Date twins! My bridal salon suggested I get my dress altered after prom season, so like the beginning of June.

At the bridal shop I worked at, we said book your 1st apt for 6-8 weeks before your wedding day.

(Whoops hit send too early) I would say 8 weeks in case it takes the seamstress 2-3 weeks. Usually 2 fittings are needed. I obsessed and because I lost weight due to stress I did my 3rd fitting the week before!
