Wedding dress alterations

Future Mrs. Lowder, on May 22, 2020 at 12:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
Hey y’all,
I got my dress a few months back and our wedding isn’t until December so I’m still waiting to do alterations. I wanted lace when originally looking but ended up getting a dress without it. I want my arms to be covered as that’s one of my biggest insecurities. I was looking at boleros and then thought about doing a lace overlay on the dress and adding lace sleeves. Does anyone know how much this might cost.. or have any other suggestions besides boleros or shawls/ covers?

You can get a cape, a caplet, a topper or a full lace jacket that has sleeves and goes down the length of your gown. Here are a few examples. The tulle jacket with the lace appliqué is probably more of what your looking for since it has sleeves and lace details throughout.

The lace jacket posted above this looks like a great option for what you described! And that's definitely less expensive than those alterations would cost.

Totally agree, a lace overlay with sleeves would be very expensive
