Wedding dress alterations

I ordered an Enchanting by Mon Cheri wedding dress about a month ago and I am worried the bridal shop measured me wrong. They have me down as bust 31.5 (correct from my measurements) - waist 26.5 (incorrect from my measurements) - hip 36.5 (correct by my measurements). I get the same measurements as them for bust and hips but waist is off - I can’t get 26.5 anywhere near my waist . I get 28 - 29.

The problem I have is, they had me order a size 4 because it would be big everywhere except for my waist - the waist would be .5 inches too small. But now that I see a discrepancy in their 26.5 measurement I’m worried the waist will be 2-3 inches too small 🙁
The dress shop is final sale and my dress doesn’t arrive until May (it has been ordered). Is there anything I can do?? Should I be worried? I ordered the dress one month ago.

I wouldn’t panic. Are you prone to bloating at all? I can definitely bloat a least inch in a given day! I’d measure over several days and if you’re still coming off different go back to the store and have them remeasure. It’s there mistake to fix. But I’d do it sooner rather than later Incase they try to say you just gained weight...

I do get bloated a little sometimes but I don’t think it’s 2-3 inches worth of bloating. I’ve actually lost some weight recently so that also makes me think they measured wrong. I might call them and see if the dress has the allowance to be let out that far. Unfortunately I don’t live around the bridal shop (my parents do) so I’d have to travel about 9 hours to get remeasured by them

I am in the same boat! I measured 32 in the bust, 25 inch in the waist and 36.5 in the hips, but when I measure myself I get a slightly different measurement in the waist and hips. I was in between size 6-8 and my consultant suggested I go with the 6 and now I am worried it won't fit, but I'm going to trust my consultant since they do this daily. My consultant did say if needed the waist could be let out so there is always that possibility if its too tight and you could always have another bridal salon measure you again to ease any doubt. I might do the same and the bloating is a real thing haha. I would say let me know how things go, but you get your dress in May same time as me. Good Luck!

Did they hand write the measurements down? Or are they typed in a computer and printed? Maybe reading her hand writing and it was actually written as 28.5 which puts you right in between what your measuring. Can you call them and confirm the measurements?
