I did my alterations with Alterations Specialist (Upper East Side location). A little pricier, but the quality and service was great. I worked with Ornela for my 2-layer A-line gown with a good amount of alterations ... hemming, adding bustle, removal of horsehair trim, taking in bust, adding cups and changing the illusion neckline of the dress.

View Quoted Comment To be completely fair, Alterations Specialist was recommended to me by the bridal store I purchased my gown from, so I received a discount to use them. But without discount I’d say pricing quotes I received ranged from $300 (a simple crepe dress, minimal alterations) - $1,100 (more elaborate changes to 2-layer gown). I originally bought the crepe dress for reception but thought I was going to have wear for wedding since my gown was delayed due covid related production delays. Thankfully my gown arrived in time. And I will get alterations done later to the simpler dress (most likely somewhere cheaper to be honest) once we have a rescheduled date for a larger reception, when it’s safe.
