Wedding dress alteration - adding sleeves

Eriko, on July 22, 2019 at 4:30 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 10
Since I will be getting married in February, which is chilly here in the Pacific Northwest, I am hoping to add long sleeves onto my dress. I met with the seamstress, and was told I can’t add matching lace to the sleeves, since I bought my dress in the shorter length. So she suggested adding these sleeves on.

The question is, do the shoulder lines at the seams of the sleeves look weird? (Ignore the cleavage covering in the 3rd picture)
Also, should I go without the additional cleavage covering lace? I’m worried that adding the chest piece and the sleeves will create an unappealing seam line.

Personally I’m digging the off-shoulder style with the sleeves clinging close to the arm. And maybe getting white faux fur so I don’t freeze to death. Just was curious what others think, since my bridesmaids all have different opinions.

I like the first picture best as well. The seam doesn't look weird at all. The off the shoulder look is nice, if you choose to go that way. I'm not digging the cleavage lace tho. It's just a little too much coverage in my opinion. But if it makes you feel more comfortable, go for it!

I'm personally not a fan of the sleeves. I would just go with a wrap or stole of some sort and call it good.

I like the off the shoulder the best out of the options. I wouldnt put anything over the cleavage, I dont think it's too much but of course its whatever makes you feel most comfortable!
