Wedding drama

Okay ladies, long story short i have been having issues with venues for my wedding.

The first venue i booked was where i 100% wanted to have my wedding. Well i later cancelled it because they had a preferred catering list and they were all too expensive.

So then i settled and booked my wedding venue with someone cheaper. I sat on it and sat on it an kept getting more unhappy and was sad that i settled. So i then later cancelled that one.

Then i found one that had just reopened after hurricane Florence and so i booked it there and was super happy because the place is BEAUTIFUL! Well, my luck, she called me yesterday and said due to construction the room i wanted isn't available anymore PLUS the outside part is off limits for my ceremony i wanted out there. I was torn and freaking out about to just cancel my whole wedding or either move the date.

So as a shot in the dark i called the very first place i booked with (my dream wedding venue) and miraculously he had my same wedding date AVAILABLE! I could not hardly believe it, especially since that date got booked right after i cancelled it the first time.

What i am trying to say/ask is i totally feel like a clown for changing my mind so many times. Especially for my photographer and DJ...they are going to be like damn this woman can't make up her mind. lol And not to mention all of my guests...they are going to think i am crazy. lol

Has anyone else been through something like this?

Any advice or suggestions?

Just don't book anything until you're sure that's what you want and have read all the details! It doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks as long as you're happy with your final decision.

I thought the first venue was too expensive? Have you changed your budget so that you are able to afford it?

The list of restaurants they offer were too expensive.

But after researching, they all are just about the same and we just had to get over the fact that the food part is def. not going to be cheap as we thought and fit our budget no matter who we choose unfortunately. So we are willing to splurge on the food part now.

It definitely is. I'm also super picky and very indecisive. We haven't decided on a venue yet and want to get married next year so it's getting pretty stressful. At least the dress shopping is fun!! Haven't gotten to that part yet lol

Oh that makes more sense. Obviously I don't know what your original budget was, but food and drinks are definitely not cheap. I am glad you got the venue you really wanted to begin with. If your guests have a problem with it then just kindly explain that if was the venue you really wanted and things have changed that you are now able to have your wedding there. I would have been devastated if I couldn't have had my wedding where I wanted it so I'm so glad it worked out for you. I would make sure to personally update all of your guests if you already sent save the dates so that they can make new arrangements.

That is great advice and i appreciate that!

I feel like it's a sign that i have ended back up with the venue i originally wanted.

I am so relieved! I was totally going to just settle because i had ran out of options. Not to mention my wedding is in April! lol

Very very indecisive in the beginning. Starting w doing a cruise wedding. Then it was a Florida destination wedding, and now we are getting married in the city we live in. Hahaha. We loved the idea of a tropical wedding but ultimately decided it was more important to have our family and friends there w us.
