Hello Bride twins! We chose October 24th for a few reasons. First, I wanted to complete my Master’s degree before we got married and also leave enough time to fully focus on planning the wedding. I finished school this month (YAY) and I didn’t want a spring wedding because prices are usually higher because it’s a popular time of year for weddings. The summer is too hot to function in Oklahoma lol and I didn’t want a winter wedding due to potential weather concerns especially for traveling family members. A fall wedding seemed to be the best fit and since I work at a school, August and September are a bit hectic for me but things usually calm down by October. My dads birthday is October 17th and Halloween is on the 31st and we didn’t want to have our wedding on either of those days, so the 24th just works! 😊

We found the perfect venue for our campout wedding we took the date closest to the on we wanted which was 10/24/2020. Congrats everyone!

It's at a camp for special needs adults/children. They have camp May thru August and the rest of the year the camp is open for rental. It's on it's own private lake with hiking trails, fire rings, etc. And it has rooms inside the camp for us all to stay there together. We also are having night before and after parties there They give you the place to yourself. It's gonna take a good amount of sprucing up to make it look fancy but I have some seriously crafty ladies on board

We always wanted a fall wedding, and October is our favorite month. My birthday is on the 16th, and our anniversary is on the 31st. Halloween also happens to be our favorite holiday. So the 24th just felt right for us, on many different levels.

View Quoted Comment Have a question ... with the Caronavirus has anyone inquired about protocol implanted at your venue? I spoke with ours and they’re watching carefully and will work with our count if we need to lower especially because of out of town state and country guests. Check with yours.

We actually had to change our venue, so ours is changed to August. Sorry.

Getting married the evening before.... a lot cheaper when you are doing it all yourself... we have decided to be us and do a friday night.
