Wedding Details to remember

Nicole, on December 1, 2019 at 7:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
Anyone have suggestions on the small details that you don’t really think about? Did anyone do a menu at each seat, itinerary/time line of the day for guests, details on the chairs for reception/ceremony? Is the small stuff like this worth it? Or do you feel it’s a nice touch to the day?

I had a seating chart at the front and place cards at each place setting, I’m a musician so the tables had instruments instead of numbers, customized cake topper and toasting glasses, seating cards for assigned ceremony seats, blankets and hand warmers, and little violin card holders with buffet labels. The name cards made people feel very appreciated and cared for, and my other little details got a lot of attention and pictures. More than I expected.

We didn’t do programs or any kind of timeline, but we did do menus at each place setting. We served stations for dinner and we wanted guests to know what each one was without standing in line for them.

We aren’t doing programs, timelines for guests or menus. For our wedding there’s no need. There’s nothing in the timeline that guests need to follow, we’re having plated meals that guests are selecting ahead of time and we’re not having a bridal party.

We had menues that the venue provided. It was a seated dinner and guests ordered their desired entree, so they were helpful. We also had escort cards to show people their assigned tables. Otherwise, we skipped the programs and such. We had a short ceremony with no readings or prayers or anything, so we didn't think it was necessary. I feel like those little details can be nice but are rarely missed depending on the circumstances.
