I purchased my dress when my fiance and i started dating 4 years ago. I love the dress BUT cant fit it. Is anyone else having to lose weight fir the big day? If so what are you doing to lose it

I started eating cleaner with some Keto influences and drinking more water. I also started an Aqua Zumba class at my local pool. So far I've lost 8lbs Smiley laugh

I've lost 13 lbs in the last 6 months. I cut out coffee creamer, soda & dessert. I go to HIIT classes at my local gym twice a week and do TIU app workouts the other 3 days, then I walk at least 3 miles every weekend.

Count your calories and track your steps. You will need a calorie deficit to lose weight.

Drink more water. I'm horrible at this. But having a reusable cup with a straw helps.

Eat more veggies. Carrots, peppers, cucumber and hummus is a favorite.

Have your heaviest meal for lunch.

Cardio - walk, jog, run, elliptical, bike. I have bad hips and knees so I just pace myself on the elliptical for 30 minutes.

Don't weigh yourself every day - you will just drive yourself nuts. Once a week check in is good.

When is your wedding date and what have you done so far to lose those 6 pounds? Sometimes making small changes in your diet can give the biggest results: cut out soda, cut out alcohol, cook with/eat less sodium, cut out Starbucks sugary drinks or make a more minimal Starbucks order, etc. I'm a strong believer of exercise; even starting small and incorporating 30 minute walks a couple of times a week can help. But it really depends on how much time between now and your wedding Smiley smile

I've cut down carbs a lot, especially for meal bases (e.g. replacing pasta with salad or kale) and it's helped a ton! Going low carb can make some people feel tired but I actually feel way brighter for it. Also swapping high fat/high sugar/processed snacks for more natural things like fresh fruit or plain yoghurt-- or even swapping ice cream for homemade ice pops or froyo, it doesn't have to be a dramatic sacrifice! As others have implied, it'll be the treats you've grown accustomed to eating on a regular basis that'll make the most difference when you cut them out, like coffee creamer and Starbucks. And of course exercise is good-- even if it's just a walk around the block.

What's the story behind buying the dress when you started dating?? Just found the dress of your dreams and couldn't let it go to someone else?

I recommend cutting carbs. I’ve been on a modified Atkins diet to help with neurological issues since April. It’s very similar to keto, as it’s low carb and high fat, and I mainly use an app to track my carbs to stay under the 20-25 g allowance. Since April I’ve lost 40 lbs doing this, and that’s not even with working out or anything.

I don't have to lose weight, but have been just because I wasnt happy with me. Ive lost 20.1 lbs since April. Ive just started tracking my calories in My Fitness Pal app which has made me more aware of my weight and -what Im eating. Ive also cut down on sodas because they are my weakness.
    Good luck!
