Wedding Day Timeline

covidbride, on June 17, 2020 at 2:27 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

Does anyone have a detailed wedding day timeline from start to finish of how their day went (that they'd be willing to share)?
I'm trying to plan/organize hair, makeup, photographer time, etc. and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. I think I am just having a hard time figuring out how much time to budget for everything.

    930am hair

    11a brunch

1230p getting ready altogether with bridesmaids

1:30p start photos [first look, etc]

    3p photos end

3:30p arrive to ceremony site for set up

    5p ceremony starts

    5:30p ceremony ends

    6p reception starts

in hindsight i had really little time for photos and i think i should have prepared more time. because there were some hiccups in terms of gathering everyone and the venue i had chosen for photos and we just felt so strained on time because 1.5 hours FEELS long but man it went so fast i didn't get all the photos i wish i had

I'm looking for the same thing right now! I've ended up googling it and getting a pretty good idea. This is the one I found that makes sense:

Our day starts at 8am at the latest.
    8-get up and shower
830- dry hair9-get dressed930- leave for salonWhenever we get back (probably around 11 or so) finish getting dressed (belt, petticoat, pantyhose, etc) 12- eat something that won't mess my lips 1- pictures2- ceremony215- food and pictures and whatever people wanna do (music gets turned on)3-cakes After that people can leave whenever they want to. 6 of us are staying at the cabin (kids, mom, him and i) so whenever everyone leaves I'm going to shower and wash out my hair and off my makeup (I never put stuff in my hair or on my face so by then ill be ready to get it alllllllll off) Then dinner whenever we get hungry and whatever happens, happens.

I had four and they all did their own hair and make up but I think some of them woke earlier than I did and some of them didn’t need much time to do their own make up

    Hi Emma!
I have 7 girls, 8 counting me. However, we have 13 girls that need hair and makeup done that morning.

We had 3 people getting done. With that many people you’ll need to start extremely early and have at least two stylists.

I only had four and some of them opted to do their make up or hair earlier in the morning so that when we got ready together They didn’t have as much to do other than change clothes. we might have started getting ready together sometime between 12-1230p but I can’t remember exactly.

    I do not do mornings.

    10AM ish - get up

11:30/noon - get to parents/where limo will be

1PM - limo takes us to venue

2PM - hair and makeup (pro for me, my BP opted to do their own)

3:30PM - pizza party for BP/parents/HMUA (who was also a friend)

    4:30PM - finish makeup/get into dress

    5PM - ceremony

    5:30PM - cocktail hours/photos with BP/family

    6:45/7PM - entry into reception/swordfight with bridal couple/guests (we're all actors)

    7:15PM - dinner/toast by FOB

    8:00ish - toast by BM/special dances

    9PMish - cake

    11PM - over

Now, we had an all-inclusive venue that took care of setup/cleanup, so that helped.

But, yeah, I... did not do an early day. I don't function much before noon, between being a night owl (*note time I posted this, and I'm on the East Coast*), and my jobs, which tend to be evening based. We also didn't do a first look, we had a BP that could move quick, and our photo location was *right next door* to the venue.
