Wedding Day Timeline

Amy, on March 18, 2014 at 12:11 PM Posted in Planning 0 19

Help! I'm so "type A" and have to plan and analyze everything down to the last detail. I'm stressed out about planning a wedding in 3-months time (yes, crazy, I know) and I'm wondering if anyone has a good "day of" schedule that I could use? Like, when to decorate, what time to get hair/makeup done, when to get dressed, etc.

This is the timeline that my wedding planner gave me:

    8.00 Breakfast for villa guests

1.15 PM Groom and Party leaves the villa

2.00 PM Bride leaves the Villa

    2.30 PM Ceremony

    3.15 PM End Ceremony

    3.15/4.00 PM Photos in Cortona/Tuscany

4.30 PM Aperitifs at the Pool

5.30 PM Seated Reception in the Marquee

    7.30/8.00 PM Party Start

    1.30 AM Music Ends

Its not as detailed as you want. I plan on having everything decorated the night before. We wills start getting ready after breakfast. Us girls need hours to get ready. Smiley smile

That seems so much simpler than what I was thinking lol. Thank you! I'll start with this! It just seems like the actual wedding day is going to be crazy and I'm nervous already!

There's another post today / now about a wedding day timeline that a bride made. It's very detailed and could be helpful.

I've got a free one on my website. It breaks everything down that needs to be done that day by time. It's great to print out to give to bridesmaids, planners, and other vendors Smiley smile

I've Google searched and found several sites. Ehow had some good ones.

Once complete don't forget to share with all your vendors as well as bridal party.

My group may think I'm being anal...but at least they will be prepared. Although I may "slim down" the one for FH so he doesn't freak out

I've seen more detailed timeline because there are several people that look at this timeline (photographer, videographer, make up, etc.). The time you get ready depends on how many bridesmaids/mothers/flower girls need to get make up and hair done before you. Usually an hour for you.
