Wedding day timeline

What did you do on your wedding day? Not getting married until 5pm and hair and makeup won't take ALL day... so how did you spend the day?

It depends on a lot of things. Are you going to be having a wedding party? And if so, will they be getting hair and make up done with you? Are you doing a first look? Make sure you factor in those things when planning your timeline. I am also getting married at 5:00 PM. I plan to sleep in, then take a long relaxing shower, then make sure I have everything set up/laid out for the day. We are going to do photos and video prior to the ceremony at 2:00, so my hair and makeup will start at noon. I will be having lunch delivered to the hotel room for myself, HMUA and wedding party (who will be getting theirs done too). Then I will get dressed, do any touchups if needed, then go to the location to meet my fiancé. Photo/video from 2:00-4:00. Then back to the hotel room for any final hair and make up touchups that might be needed, and to get my bouquet and meet my dad who will be escorting me to the ceremony. It seems like way too much time when you first think about it, but once you start planning out all the little details, the day goes by so quick!

I'm planning on just hanging out with my party until we're done. We'll have food and drinks while getting hair and makeup done. The guys will head out to a barber for a traditional straight razor shave.

We were at the salon at 9 am for a 6 pm ceremony. We met the MUA at the venue at 11, at 2(ish) the photographer arrived. I was having photos done (completely ready) by 3:30 or so. We didn't do a first look, but we did "girls" and "guys" photos ahead of time. There was very little in the way of downtime - even when I wasn't the one being worked on, there was someone having their turn.

Hair and makeup starts at 7:30, so my morning is pretty full. I'll probably pick up my mom, grandma, and bridesmaid that's flying in, grab coffee for everyone on the way to the hotel we're getting hair and makeup done at, and then meet up with the local members of the bridal party and have breakfast ordered in.

We’re doing a first look so we’ll be doing hair/makeup. Then first look. 90% of our family/bridal/ couple photos before our 4 pm ceremony plus video for the two of us. So we have a lot going on before the ceremony lol

Our wedding was at 6:00pm. I got my hair done around 9 & it took a few hours. My MOH, & another bridal party member met at the venue around 12:30 & got our makeup done. We hung out in the get ready room up until it was time for the ceremony. We also got something to eat & brought it to the venue to have something on our stomach.

I only had 1 photographer so he took photos of my fiancé getting ready and then came over to me at a different location and took photos of me getting ready, and then my fiancé and I had a first look, then we traveled to new location and did family portraits. My photographer was a little late In the morning and so things got pushed back. My advice to you is start everything early!

I plan on waking up at 6:00 am to just do a few relaxing things before people arrive (and have a cup or two of coffee). Our hair and makeup team arrives at 6:30 to start setting up. They begin at 7:00. We have 9 girls getting hair done (myself, 5 bridesmaids, my mom and stepmom, and my grandma) plus the flower girl (so 10 total), and 8 getting makeup done. We have 1 makeup artist and 2 hair stylists. It'll likely take the entire time. I'm putting together a playlist, we're providing breakfast and mimosas. The photographer arrives at 11 to get those "getting ready photos". I plan on just relaxing and having fun with my girls when I'm not getting all dolled up.

We have to leave by 12:30 pm to head to the venue, with a 1:30 pm arrival time.

The first look is at 2:00.

    Wedding party photos at 2:30

    Family pictures at 3:15.

Tucked away in suite at 4:15.

    Ceremony start at 5:00
