I am just starting this too. I asked the venue for a typical timeline and I'm glad I did cause they told me we need to cut the cake before dinner so that they can finish cutting it in time to serve it so there is no lull after dinner. Never would have thought of that. So I would ask them if they have any suggestions! Your dj would probably be a good source too!

Does your venue offer a day of coordinator? That is who is doing my day of timeline.. I have thought about creating my own and comparing it to the one that she does and add/remove stuff based on what I want.

I honestly think this is the most stressful part of the planning. I’m in the process of doing mine, so I can’t offer much advice. BUT I did see some tips:

make sure you have a buffer just In case something gets delayed or takes more time

and have a moment where it is just you and your fiancé to take it all in, just a moment together
