Wedding Day Timeline- Share yours!

Jessica, on April 28, 2019 at 8:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
Hey guys, was wondering if you'd share your wedding day timeline? I'm trying to work on mine but afraid I'm going to leave something out. Also unsure how much time to slot for certain things. Thanks in advance!

This is my tentative time line. We are getting married and having wedding reception in same location but doing a first look else where. 7am stopping to pick up breakfast and lunch for bridal party and moms, 8am dropping off my father and saying hi to my FH at the hotel he will be staying at the night before. 9am hair and make up starts. 11am photographer 1 shows up to get pictures of us girls getting ready. 1230 photographer 2 shows up to take pictures of guys. Us girls head to the location for bridal pictures and get our pictures. 130 the guys arrive and we do our first look and couple pictures. Then rest of wedding party pictures. 245 or 3pm head back to our venue. 400-430 ceremony. 430-5 family pictures. 5-6pm cocktail hour with our guests. Also 5-9 photo booth. 6pm first dance as a couple then dinner. Speeches during dinner. After dinner possibly mother dance ( that is up in the air). 745 or 8pm or so cake cutting. Dancing and fun at reception and be done by 10pm. This is our day roughly so hope it helps.

I haven’t figured out my timeline before the ceremony starts. I know I’ll be getting to the venue at 9 with my ladies to set up. The hair and makeup artists are coming to the venue so that will follow the setup.
    3:30 guest will arrive
    4:00 Ceremony
4:30 cocktail hour (bridal party/family/ photos)
    5:30 Grand Entrance
    first Dances
    6:00 Dinner
    7:00 Dancing
    8:00 cake cutting
    9:15 Grand Exit
Im not sure if I should have the toasts after the first dances or after dinner. I also haven’t figured out when to do the bouquet toss or if I’ll even do one.

I haven't quite nailed down all of the early morning details yet but here's what I've got so far.

1:30-Photographer arrives at hotel for last minute getting ready shots of Bride and BM's, first look with dad (Flowers should arrive around 1)

    2:00-Bride gets dressed

    2:30- First look with Dad

2:40-3:20-Photograph Formals of Bride with immediate family and Bridesmaids

3:20-4:00-Photograph Formals of Groom with immediate family and Groomsmen (MOG will have put flowers on Guys already)

    3:45-Girls leave for Venue

    4:10-Guys leave for venue

4:15-4:30-Arrive at venue, Photographer sets up for ceremony (Possibly photographs details in Ballroom if done)

    5:00-5:30-Ceremony

5:30-7:00-Cocktail hour (B&G will not attend, Photograph B&G with Immediate and Extended family and Bridal party and B&G alone)

    7:00-Bridal party announced into reception

    Cake cutting

    Speeches, FOB and FOG

    7:15-Dinner

    8:00-First Dances 3

Good to see I'm not the only one doing an elaborate reception timeline. Phew! I'm probably still going to be critiqued probably for going into so much detail for mine... but I'm sure that a wedding planner/DOC does the same stuff... we just don't get to see it in that amount of detail.
