Do you have a day-of coordinator? That is one of their duties.

I will say that 7 hours is considerably longer than the average timeline. The best way to build your timeline is to start from the end and work your way up. If you’re ending at 11, an average four hour reception would begin at 7. That would make cocktail hour 6-7 and put the ceremony at 5:30. Do you plan to have a 5.5 hour reception?

Depends on how long your ceremony is and if you’re anticipating a cocktail hour in between ceremony and reception?

Mine is 3:30-12ish. Ceremony and greeting guests afterwards always has some wiggle room but general idea.
    Ceremony: 3:30-4
Receiving line: 4-4:30Family and wedding party photos: 4:30-5:15Travel to reception city: 5:15-5:25Bar stop: 5:25-5:45Arrive at reception venue: 5:50Dinner: 6-7:30 (also subject to change, depends on lengths of speech)First dance: 7:30F/D: 7:35M/S: 7:40Dance: 7:45-12Oh and cake cutting will be around 8:30 with the desserts being brought out then too. I gave a little extra time for dinner because we are doing a buffet style and sometimes that takes a little time for everyone to be able to get their food and eat. If it seems to be wrapping up earlier then we'll just have more time to dance. Our dj is a good friend so he'll play as long as we want.
Hopefully this helps you! It all just depends on if you're having the same venue for both ceremony and reception and if you need to do pictures afterwards. We'll be doing the separate photos for bridesmaids, groomsmen, small details, and also a first look before the wedding so those will start around 1-1:30. Wish you the best with planning! Smiley smile

This was my timeline. I also got married at 4pm, well 4:05 b/c we knew we'd have a couple of guests arriving right at 4 - which we did, lol so we gave ourselves 5 extra minutes before the ceremony started. The only difference is our reception ended at 9pm and we had an hour of cleanup. We did all of our decorating and cleanup on our own so we were out of the venue by 10pm.

My husband's timeline was a little different b/c he played golf the morning of our wedding with his groomsmen and some good friends of his, but this is what mine looked like.

    6:30am – Wake up

    7:00am – Breakfast w/ bridesmaids, grandma &
    Mama B.

8:30am – Do any last minute running around / Make
sure Mike made it to his tee-time

11:30am – Start getting ready with Bridesmaids
    (Photographer arrives)

    12:00pm - Lunch arrives

2:15pm – Leave hotel for wedding venue

2:50 pm - Bridal Party Photos & First Look

    3:45pm – Guests arrive

    4:05pm – Ceremony Starts

    4:20pm – Photos with Family Members &
Reception Hall Opens for Guests (Bar opens when guests are finding seats in
    ballroom)

4:45pm – Entrances & First Dance (Bar closes
    during this time)

    5:15pm – Dinner (Bar reopens)

    6:15pm – Cake Cutting

    6:20pm – Dance Floor Opens

8:45pm – Last Call for Bar
