Wedding day schedule

I made my invitations and put 5pm for guest to arrive. My ceremony starts at 5pm, I asked my officiant if she can arrive at 5:15 pm to give guests time to arrive. But she was unable to do so. She did suggest that she can send another officiant as she does have a rehearsal right after my wedding, and of course that would not be fair to her and the other couple to have to reschedule.

Would it it be okay to keep my officiant at 5pm or should I have a different officiant. I don’t know the other officiant. But I may have done an error with the time. Help!! Thanks

    I don't understand. Your invitations say 5 pm. Your ceremony starts at 5 pm. Just start at 5 pm? I would be annoyed if I showed up between 4:30 and 4:45 for a 5 pm ceremony then it didn't actually start until 5:15.

    If you have a wedding website, maybe reiterate that you intend on starting the ceremony at 5PM so guests will be sure to arrive before then? I plan on starting at 4PM but I am putting on the invitation and website that everyone needs to be there no later than 3:45PM just so people can make sure to be on time. I think you should keep the ceremony and officiant at 5PM it seems to be the easier solution. But you should do what you think best fits your day and schedule.

    I would start no later than 5:05 PM. How short is your ceremony? She can only stay for 10 minutes?

    Thank you ladies. I will keep it at 5 pm.

    she will be at my ceremony for 45 min but she does have to travel 1 hour away to make it to the rehearsal she also has scheduled on the same day after my wedding.
