Wedding Day Schedule

Samantha, on May 22, 2019 at 12:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

Has anyone found/created a template that they are using to help figure out times for the actual wedding day? Is there things you wish were on it that you didn't think of or things you added that were super helpful? My day isn't too far off and I wanted to start working on a rough draft.

Is it as simple as

6:00am - wake up, 6:15am - coffee (mama bears gonna need it), 6:30am - shower etc.
Or do you have a who, what, where, when etc? And do you create one for the groom?

Thanks for any feedback!

It can be as detailed as you want it to be. I wouldn't necessarily add in things like coffee. Mine thus far is "8am-12pm: hair and make up, 1pm-2pm: getting ready and getting ready photos, 2:10pm-3pm: first look, 3pm-4:30pm family and group photos, etc. " To me, the more written down, the more overwhelming it looks.

I started a rough draft and it's kind of in between detailed and basic. Not putting anything on it that would happen before anything actually wedding related but I do have the time and a slight description of who, when, and where. For example, 9:30- wedding party arrives to venue. 10:00- wedding party to start decorating in pavilion. Etc.

I had one for bridesmaids, one for groomsmen, and then and overall one for myself.

    Groomsmen:

    10:00 Arrive for haircuts/hot shaves
12:00 Photographer arrives at barber shop
    1:00 Groom/GM/Photographer arrive at venue
1:25 Groom gets ready (anyone assisting him should already be dressed)
    1:35 Groom/Groomsmen pictures
2:00-3:30 Chill...drink a beer (ONE)...try not to sweat. Best Man, please make sure you have the rings together and safe after photographer is finished with them.
3:30 Verify officiant is miked up, everyone has boutonnieres and corsages
    3:45 Line up for processional
    4:00 Ceremony begins
    4:30 Group and family photos
5:35 Bridal party and bride and groom grand entrance
5:55 (brother of groom) gives blessing
    6:00 Dinner
    6:40 BM/MOH toasts
    Etc....have fun!!!

    Bridesmaids:

9:00 Meet at bride's house. Pick up food for the day and coffee.
9:30 Arrive at venue for hair and makeup
12:00 Photographer arrives on site for getting ready pictures (have area "picked up")
1:00 Take groom's "details" package to his dressing room in time for him to get dressed
2:10 Bride gets dressed (MOB, MOH, and step mom should be dressed by now to assist)
2:30 Bride and bridesmaid pictures together and separately

The rest looks like the groomsmen's...

Mine was just kind of a mash up plus a few things my husband needed to do before hand, a few things I needed to finish before hair and makeup started, plus details like the processional order was in mine. After the grand entrance, I really left it up to the DJ and photographer to tell us where to be and when. I had both of their detailed timelines I had looked over and made sure they matched up, but then I didn't worry about it as it was going on. When he said it was time for cake cutting, we made our way to the cake. When the photographer said it was time for sunset pictures, we went.
