Wedding Day Schedule

Mallory, on October 26, 2019 at 3:15 PM Posted in Planning 1 4
What did everyone's schedule for the day of looked like or will look like? My wedding isnt until May 30th, 2020. But we are looking to book our photographer. We arent sure for how long, but she is $250 an hour and suggests 8hours for her.

We want her during the time we are getting ready, during the ceremony, cocktail hour (we arent doing a first look), dancing, grand exit.

We just want to make sure we have her during the times we would love to have her, plus have a feel of how long each event during the wedding lasts, such as the ceremony and reception. We are doing an afternoon wedding wedding. Bar closes at 10:30pm and quiet hours at the venue is 11

In addition to a photographer we decided we will put disposable cameras on tables so our guests can take pictures as well. That may help you out a little. I know we are doing getting ready photos on both sides, a first look, ceremony, etc. We are having ours for 8.5 hours but she is only cost $100 per hour. I would create a timeline for yourself to see what time your ceremony starts, when you want to start getting ready, etc. What helped us decide was calling the venue and they helped give us a timeline of when everything would happen and the photographer helped us finalize how we wanna use her.

2000$ for 8 hours is a steal in my area! I would book it!

Our photographer is $2,600 for our engagement session, a bridal session, and 8 hours of photography with a second shooter. We don't have the slightest clue what our wedding day timeline will be yet and I'm getting married May 9th. We just kind of booked her figuring we would make the 8 hours fit in with what was most important to us with pictures. For example, I'd rather her take pictures of us getting ready than our exit, so I'm willing to stage an early exit if need be.

My wedding schedule-We'll probably start doing hair between 9 and 10. Leave for the venue at 2, get there at 2:30. From 2:30-4:30 we'll be getting dressed and doing make up and any other last minute thing we need to do. The time line on that might change because I don't see it taking 2 hours for everyone to get dressed and do make up but we'll see. 4:30 the wedding starts, should be over by 5. Cocktail hour is from 5-6. Dinner/reception starts at 6 and I think the coordinator said the reception ends at 9 or 10. We haven't discussed having a grand exit so I'm not sure if we're even having one. The photographer comes with the venue so they wont be there while we get our hair done. I'll actually have to ask what time they start because we only get them for so many hours before they start charging us. I want to say it's either $200 or $300 an hour
