Wedding Day Nerves - time sensitive.

LynZLeigh, on June 3, 2017 at 12:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 23

Already married people - how bad was your anxiety the day of?

It's my wedding day, and I am so nervous I'm almost paralyzed. According to my FH's friends, he is calm and doing homework.

Meanwhile, I'm a mess. Tell me stories that will make me feel normal, please.

Not married yet, but put on your favorite music. You're going to have an amazing day.

Also not married yet, but how about going for a coffee, or a walk? Or getting some brunch?

    Caffeine will not help anxiety.

All about brunch though. Have A mimosa and take a walk.

You're going to be just fine.

I'll be married in two weeks and am already feeling a little anxious. Try to listen to some relaxing music and take some deep breaths.

Anxiety is normal, and there are things you can do to relax. Take deep long breaths - five seconds long - through your nose, and five second releases through your mouth. It forces your heart rate to slow.

    Also, mimosas, girl.

Happy wedding day!! Deep breaths, and a shot of your fave alcohol. Mimosas tend to make me sleepy but a shot gets me "ready" lol. You'll be fine!!

Deep breath! My anxiety didn't really hit until I got the venue. Then it got worse once i put my dress on. Our photographer did an impromptu first touch (we didn't want first look) and that helped calm me tons!

Honestly, on our wedding day I was super calm. We had a shit show the day before though so I knew nothing could top that disaster. Try turning up the radio and having a dance party with your girls. We chose the Backstreet Boys Pandora station!

I was surprisingly calm that day. But then again I was with my husband all day and got ready together so....

We woke up, went out for brunch and then started to get ready around 11am.

Don't worry, try to keep busy without stressing. Sometimes just waiting around will drive you nuts.

Enjoy your time who whomever you are with.

I was calm. I figured at this point all I could do is relax and try to enjoy. People were shocked that I wasn't freaking out more

Happy Wedding Day! I was pretty calm the day of. I had a lot of support from my sister and 2 SILs. They were telling me how happy they were and how I am marrying my best friend. It helped a lot I think. I honestly didn't care about anything that happened as long as I got to marry my husband I knew everything would be perfect.

Breathe and try to relax. Remember at the end of the day you are marrying your best friend/FH and that's what matters the most. Take some time to remember everything from your relationship. The good, the bad, just everything. It will bring smiles maybe some tears but will also remind you that you two are amazing together and have overcome so much. I hope this helps some. Now get out there, enjoy your wedding day, take it all in, and come post a BAM :-)

I thought I'd be a wreck the day of, but I was also surprisingly calm. My husband was the anxious one; the photographer told me she caught him pacing nervously outside the venue. He finally relaxed during our first look, since we could then spend time together. As hard as it is to just stop being anxious, it's important to soak everything in today. You don't want to look back and not remember the amazingness! Happy wedding day!

It was bad but only because of everything going wrong. Once we did our first look and I got to see Matt it all went away (until our reception) cause I remembered that marrying him was one of the best decisions I was making and it'd all be ok. Happy wedding day and just remember this day is about your love to him and celebrating. It'll all be ok.
