Wedding day Must-haves!!

Brittany, on September 11, 2020 at 10:31 AM Posted in Style and Décor 1 14
Can anyone help me out? I am starting to look for wedding decor and I’m not sure what I should be looking for or what I should have. What are some things that I should definitely have at the wedding? I’m pretty good on things that I want, but I don’t want to miss anything.

It really depends on the style or theme of your wedding.

I agree with PP it's hard for us to tell you that just because we don't know your budget or style.

but at a basic level, people have a centerpiece per table

That’s true. Okay so I don’t really have a theme like beachy or nothing, I really just want a basic classy wedding. I guess my question really is what are things that basically all weddings need regardless of the theme. Like an arch etc etc.

All decor is optional and is based on what you like. Take a look at Pinterest and see what catches your eye.

Okay, maybe I should rephrase this again lol. What are some of YOUR wedding must haves so that maybe I can get an idea of things that I didn’t think about.

Centerpieces for sure. Flowers, whether a lot or a few depending on the style and theme of the wedding. I've also been to plenty of weddings that didn't have an arch. Like everyone else said, there are no required decorations. Weddings are so diverse and the decor can vary a lot based on budget and personal preference, so it's hard to answer this question. But I'd personally say centerpieces, flowers, and maybe arch.

Depending on the venue as many don't need one, a pretty ceremony backdrop. It can be a birch arbor/trellis with flowers hanging from fishing line or another structure draped in fabric.

Centerpieces on the tables and other focal points (bar, guestbook table, etc) that are not too tall or too wide. You're only limited by imagination and budget. Candles, flowers, seasonal decor.

Some of my own personal must haves that I have no regrets about splurging on:

CenterpiecesCharger platesMenu CardsChiavari chairs with white cushions Bar signs (Menu and signature drink)Sweetheart table backdrop (Felt like more of a focal point in the room)Antique finds that I had gathered for months...lanterns, vintage cake plates, photo frames, Etc. LOTS of candlesGuest book or some kind of alternative guest bookCafe lights Ceremony floral alter arrangements (we reused at reception too)
None of these are “musts” in general, but to me they made the space feel special and I can’t wait to get the detail shots back from my photographer to get to see it all again. The best thing is you can make it whatever you want to make it!! Have fun!

You got to know you budget, colors, theme, and research. Get that low cost of things. The decorations is depends on what the venue provides. Look for the check list on what you want to include in your wedding. Have fun shopping around it will take hour! Best of wishes! You could be DYI as well! Have fun planning it. It took me two years countless hour researching.

We found the coolest guestbook from Etsy! I was planning super simple decor because our venue was so stunning! I had bought a sign for gifts, welcome sign, seating chart, and table numbers! The Venus has some lights over the dance area and honestly that was it other than our chuppah. I wanted the guests to take in the beauty of the venue. Also glad I didn’t spend too much on decor because we had to cancel for Covid and I didn’t loose too much money on stuff.
