Wedding day hair different than Bridal session!?!?

Delaney, on July 15, 2017 at 4:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

So I wore my hair loosely pinned up for my bridal photos for a more elegant/formal look, but I'm thinking for my wedding and reception I want to wear my hair in a half up half down?? I do tend to feel more comfortable with my hair down and I like the idea of having pictures with both. However, I'm not sure if that's a weird thing to do since I've already done pictures this way and people have seen them. I also have a bridal reveal video with this hairstyle. BUT I will have photography and videography at my wedding. Lol. HELP Smiley smile

Attached below is a bridal photo for reference!

I'm planning to have my hair down and curled for my Ceremony and up (like this google image) for my Reception:

    That's a beautiful hairstyle.

It's not weird at all to wear your hair differently for your wedding from your bridal photos. No rule says you have to look exactly the same in the bridal pics and your wedding day & pics.

I understand feeling more comfortable wearing your hair down; I had planned on a half-up-half-down style for my wedding and actually had my hair done that way for my hair trail but I didn't feel comfortable and not at all like myself so I wore my hair down for my wedding. I didn't even do a second trail before the date, just went with it.

Go wth what makes you feel the absolutely most beautiful!

Ellaenchanted we just did it so we could have most of our bridal pictures done. We don't really have a long time at our venue (4hours) so we decided to do picture before and I wanted to catch his reaction on video!??

LuckyAK it's basically like a first look. Like you would do at the wedding. We did one so that way we could cut down on picture time because we don't have our venue for a long time and wanted to make the most of the time we had!

I don't understand bridal portraits (heard it's more of a southern thing?). Even so, I think you should do whatever you want. I don't see it being an issue and it would probably be cool to be able to have two different styles in your photos. I think your hair in the pic you posted looks awesome though!
