Wedding date selection regret

Nikki, on September 6, 2017 at 3:12 PM Posted in Planning 0 22

FH and I decided that we don't want to have any more children until we are married. We just got our pics done Sunday with the date being November 10 2018 but now I'm starting to regret it because I feel like I'll be ready for my second child before then :/ lol I know call me crazy. We haven't announced the date but we did get a pic done with our banner and I'm not sure how important a picture with the date is ?!

I wouldn't use any pictures with the date on if you are changing your date. It will be confusing for guests you send the picture to.

I'm confused, are you saying you want to push the wedding up so you can have a baby sooner? If so...go ahead! Especially if you haven't sent save the dates or invites yet.

If you wanna move the date, then move it. Your reasoning is your own. Just don't use the picture with the date banner.

I don't get the issue really....

Yeah, Maybe create additional message over the original date and say you moved the date up

Don't put the original photo to waste unless you have the extra money

@Sunny Keeping a wedding date over not using a picture is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard on here (and I've been on here a while).

Lol my issue was that I just got my engagement pictures done so if I changed the date I wouldn't have a picture with the actual date in it and I was unsure if that was important or not ....

You definitely don't need a picture with a date as you can put them on the save the date/invitation. I just wouldn't use the date ones so that its not confusing.

OP, I don't have a single e-pic with my date on it. I wouldn't stress. If you are using them for STDs, you can just have it somewhere else on the STD.

Just use another picture. Or if you can photoshop the new date on to the old picture without it looking like crap, do that.

No that's not an issue at all. Most save the date cards I've gotten don't actually have the date IN the picture, just printed on the card. You can totally move your date. I picked my date 5 months out.

Just don't use the banner picture. We changed our minds on the date too. It went from May 2018 to February 2018. I wanted a Winter wedding without having to wait until next year. Luckily we didn't buy anything (other than booking a venue lol) with our date on it!

Yeah, definitely no need to have the date IN the photo. I've actually never seen that in real life, just on pinterest.

How soon do you want to marry? Is it hard to book venues in the area?

We booked 16 months in advance and we got the last weekend date that month, so I think that's something to consider.

In similar boat!!! We were trying then he proposed. I quickly put it on hold. lol I do not want to be pregnant at my wedding or honeymoon.

I've got a super big age gap between my 2nd and 3rd. Dont worry about any of that. Have your wedding and honeymoon then get to baby making!! Smiley smile

Oh to your exact question. Using a pic without the date is just fine as long as the date is written somewhere

I did not do a pic on my STD and loved it. It was a vintage postcard.

Have you booked your venue and locked in a date yet? If not, I say absolutely change it if that's what you want.

Sounds like you haven't even sent out STD's yet. I would never not change my date just because we took a picture with a banner that had the original date on it. Hopefully you didn't take every single picture with that banner. Just use another one, or no picture at all. There are plenty of options for STD's without pictures.

You definitely don't need an engagement picture with your date. We didn't have one and think they're a little cheesy to be honest.
