Wedding Date Reason

Aww what a sweet way to make a beautiful memory out of that day and in remembrance of your grandfather.


We chose our date (6/2/19) because I just knew from the start I wanted a June wedding and we wanted a Sunday. There were 5 choices but we couldn’t use Father’s Day or my FIL’s birthday so that narrowed it to 3. I told my husband he could choose which of the 3 dates he preferred, and then he realized 6/2 was actually the “inverse” of our dating anniversary (which is 2/6) so that instantly became special to us!

That’s a beautiful way to remember your grandfather and make your day that much more special. 💕 We didn’t choose our date for any special reason other than I knew I wanted a spring/early summer wedding. We both work one week on, one week off, so we just chose a date that was on one of our weeks off and ran with it.

Thats sweet and very sentimental.


My date is October 24,2020 exactly 6 years later (10/24/14) when we first met physically. ❤️

Mine had more to do about when fiancé was out of school, nephews, college graduation and before Memorial Day. Then he starts school again later.

Our date was originally 10/10/2020 which I loved because of the duplicate numbers things (difficult for the Hubs to forget our anniversary ), but this past week after reviewing our contract we noticed our Venue trying to charge us way more than they should for the value and they were not willing to work with us and our budget, so we had to drop the venue and the date. We ending up finding a new amazing venue, but had to change our date to 10/17/2020 because the venue didn't have 10/10 available. They had September dates open (which would have been more ideal) but we opted to not for the sake of my wedding dress and not wanting to pay rushing fees for it.

We chose April 4th because that was the day we met 18 years ago. But after covid our new date is july 11th its exactly 2 weeks after his birthday and 2 weeks before mine.
