I would not sign a contract for a place that required a professional DOC , if you had not planned one. Most people do not have one, and some friend or family member does what is needed. Or a well organized friend not otherwise a guest may be hired for a few hours, who has done weddings. That is a huge expense % if your wedding is less than $30,000.
To require something that may cost more that the bridal gown, for most people paying for their own wedding with difficulty, inflates cost for their convenience. They can hire one. Many venues do .

Go on here and look for a cheaper one. In Chicago they are way less. Go to bottom of list and work your way back.
