Wedding Coordinator Cost?

Amber, on September 29, 2019 at 9:07 AM Posted in Planning 0 11
I've been looking into wedding coordinators in Oregon and I've been having trouble finding anyone in my budget. How much did you or are you paying for yours?

When I started getting quotes for wedding coordinator I couldn't believe the price tag that came along with a coordinator. We hired ours for months of coordination, she's charging us $750. It was more affordable to hire her for month of coordination and she also gave us a military discount because FH is a marine. But, some of the other people were quoting anywhere from $1000-$5000. I was honestly shocked.

My DOC was $1,000. She gave us a little discount because she has worked with our photographer and said that would make the day go smoother.

We’re in Portland and have been scrambling to find some day-of help. We are finding that the big companies are $1,200 and up for DOC with smaller companies/individuals being between $650-800. We have found a couple that will do a la carte help at $50-65/hour. Good luck!

I'm in NYC and average price I was quoted was $1,200. We went a DOC that offered their services for $1,000, a discount off their regular rate since we met them at a wedding expo.

We are paying $30 per hr for our coordinator. we aren't using him for just day of. we've had a few lengthy meetings already but he has been the most helpful. if nothing else, i say get a day of coordinator.

my biggest pet peeve starting out with planning was that NOBODY was helping. vendors just expected that you knew what was happening, what was supposed to happen, asking questions about things i hadn't even thought of yet bc they do this all the time. idk about everone else but i haven't planned a wedding before and it was all so overwhelming. and this was just for tours of venues and initial vendor meetings. or coordinator is the best man in the world and he's been making everything so organized and is the perfect voice of calm and reason. get a DOC and have the chance to enjoy your day knowing it's in good hands.
