Hey ladies!

I’m having a hard time making a choice on wedding colors!
How did you find yours? How did you get inspiration?
Thank you so much for your time in advance!

November wedding here — colors are gray, navy, hint of blush in flowers and my dress is ivory

I chose navy because he is in law enforcement and wanted something blue —

I knew what I wanted my theme to be and it led me in the right direction. If you have a theme you can do the same, if not you can just google or pin multiple ideas and it’ll start to take shape.

I went with colors that we looked good in and then created a color pallet from there. We’re doing Charcoal grey, plum, and blush. Also I agree Pinterest is everything.

I'm having a hard time too! I'm worried I will choose from pintrest and in real life the colors won't be exactly what I thought they were.

My husband's favorite hockey team is the New Jersey Devils and their colors are red and black. My favorite flowers are red roses so it only made sense for our wedding colors to be red and black. Silver and blush were our accent colors. I knew I wanted silver to be an accent color to begin with. I added blush after I saw a beautiful red and blush bouquet my florist posted on Facebook from a wedding she did prior to ours. At one point, we were going to change colors because my brother-in-law who was getting married six weeks after us has said they were thinking red for their wedding so I used Pinterest to gather inspiration. My brother-in-law's wife changed her mind on using red so we stuck with our original color scheme.

The only request my fiancé had was having a wedding with the color mint. He really loved the color mint. Therefore, I went on Pinterest and looked up “Mint Weddings.” The color I liked the most to coordinate with mint was corral. Corral and mint go so well with each other. Pinterest is amazing!!

I definitely understand the difficulty because I had no clue what colors to pick after my brother-in-law said they were thinking red for his wedding. I searched all over Pinterest and decided on a light pink and gray. Do you and your fiance have favorite colors? What about a favorite sports team that you could incorporate their colors into your wedding? What about the season? Normally I would say the season doesn't really matter, but since you are torn that could help you decide. Some colors do look better during certain seasons. Another option would be to base your colors around the flowers you want for your wedding. It is generally cheaper to get flowers that are in season so maybe pick out flowers and coordinate your colors around the flowers you pick.

I went with my favorite color, then complementary colors. We’re doing plum, gold, and a hint of mauve.

Does your venue have a palette you can work with? If there are strong colors you may want to work with those.

I always knew I wanted blush and mint because I loved the lightness of the colors so I feel maybe think of if you wanna go for more dark or light first

We initially agreed upon navy for his suit and we wanted a more naturalistic feel which led to a lot of greenery. Then we decided on a celestial theme so there will be gold and my dress is champagne. Navy, green, gold & champagne

I chose colors that I really liked, since I'm planning on having these pictures a long time. I figure if I picked the colors I really liked I probably won't mind as much in 15-20 years when my pictures inevitably look dated.
Once I knew what colors I wanted, I looked online to get ideas of what flowers I could have in those colors and picked the bridesmaids dress color after that

I struggled with this, too! I started by picking out my bouquet first. Then, I picked my bridesmaid dress colors based off of the bouquet, and what colors the shop offered. Everything else sort of fell into place from there!

LOVE pinterest, but I was afraid of falling in love with a color scheme that I wouldn't be able to re-create in real life. Plus there are so many options, it was overwhelming for me.

My wedding planner suggested that I make a Pinterest board specifically for my wedding and I am glad I did. I separated it by sections ceremony, reception, bride bouquet etc where each different thing had its own section within the board. I wanted a plum and grey wedding but my FH sister had those colors and since my favorite color is purple he suggested changing plum to royal purple and I said that's fine. We are getting married in March of 2021 so not typical "spring" colors but its all up to personal preference. Pinterest helped bunches!

We picked colors that represented us as a couple. We are both very patriotic so we chose Red, White and Blue!
