Wedding colors

So do you guys stick with the traditional "color schemes for the season"? Or I'm going to do whatever my heart desires regardless of the season

I kind of did both? I've always known that I wanted to get married in the fall and I've always wanted to do sunflowers and roses for my bouquet. But even if we weren't able to get married in the season I wanted, I would have made sure I had my sunflowers!! Then I kind of just matched what colors I liked with the flowers I chose. Smiley smile

I didn’t really care to be honest. I love sunflowers and blue hydrangeas and made my color choices around that. And I got married on the beach so that wasn’t necessarily beachy but it’s what I wanted.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WAY YOU MIXED IT UP!!! YOU DID TRADITION WITH A TOUCH OF WHAT YOU WANTED!!! we are having a spring wedding but we want fall colors.. my fiance excuse is SO WHAT?! And I'm like nooooo that's tacky we need to change the date or change the colors.. so I'm torn between the two😫

I have never cared if my color choices for my wedding matched the season. I didn't even know that was a thing until I started reading about it here on WW.

I'm only doing this once (getting married), so I want my most favorite colors in the world to be on display in all their glory!!

It's not tacky. It's me and FH planning the wedding we want, including the colors.

Thank you!! I absolutely love how everything came out.

Look on Pintrest!! It may give you some ideas of what you're wanting. Smiley smile Do you have specific flowers you're wanting or is it specifically colors that you want?

    Yes yes yessssss.
Everybody was like "ohhhh Chandra your colors are more fall like than spring like!!" (crimson and plum for a may wedding)
Guess what...I like the colors, they're pretty, shut it. Lololol
And I'm not even sorry! I encourage people to choose the colors they want not let seasons dictate your palette!

Exactly!!! I love that fact that everyone is basically like I'm doing what my heart wants me to do and doesn't care about opinions of the guests... because like u said this is a once in a lifetime moment we have to do it our way

Oooo love!!! I saw that you're having an evening wedding also? Girl, DO IT! It's your wedding & if those colors make you the happiest for the occasion it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks!

If you are worried about having some "springy" color, I think you should go with rose gold, but again - not my opinion, it's yours! Smiley smile

I don't stick to it for the season. I chose mine really just based on what I liked together.

I actually conformed to something I normally wouldn't do because of the season. (Power to y'all brides who didn't!) But we're getting married in the Spring, and I normally love all dark colors, but I made myself switch it up a little bit. So I am going with Lemon Yellow and Peach for Spring Smiley laugh And I love it! Smiley heart

Whatever I want. I'm getting married at the end of March in the midwest. It could be spring, it could be a blizzard. It could be both. We wont know til the day of. No sense planning around seasons and weather. I'll do what I want.
