Wedding Colors

I’ve been going back and forth on wedding ideas and colors. I had a plan when the wedding was to be Harry Potter themed but we have now decided to tone the reception back and spend a LOT less money (Our budget when from $10,000 to about $4,000). I was thinking about going with Burgundy (my favorite color) and Olive (his favorite color) but I don’t know if that’s too dark for a summer wedding in the Rocky mountains in Colorado. Cream would be a logical light balance, but my dress is Ivory and I worry that it’d clash. I was thinking maybe yellow but I don’t know if that would be TOO bright.

    I like olive, burgundy and cream would be beautiful together. Your colors don't need to match the season your wedding is in

    I think the colors would look really nice together any time of year. You could always add a blush or mauve if you wanted something to lighten it up, but I'm not sure it's necessary.

    Why don't you make cream the main color with hints of burgundy and olive in the greenery and maybe some of the accents? Add a touch of gold and you can really make it a Harry Potter wedding! 😍

    I like the darker colors myself despite the time of year. If that is what you like, I’d still go for it. As you mentioned, just add some cream flowers as well to the bouquet. Good luck!
