Wedding Colors

Brittan, on May 21, 2020 at 3:49 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

Okay I need help! I would love to have these 3 wedding colors, blush pink, dusty blue, and sage green. But the problem is that I don't want to assign each bridesmaid a certain color because they're choosing their dresses. But I don't want all of one color. I thought about doing combo of 2 colors but don't want to make it look like baby colors or too dark. Any ideas on how to have all colors be worn?? Should I have my family wear one color and his family wear one color?

Thanks!!

Are you telling your bridesmaids they should choose from one of those 3 colors or just telling them they can have any dress they want no matter the color?

If you want them each wearing one color, just have them coordinate between each other to see who wants to wear each one. You don't have to assign them; if they're adults they should be able to figure that out on their own.

You can have three colors without people wearing them. You can alternate colors between the bridesmaids or have them wear the same color. Tie the other colors into bouquets, decor, etc. You don’t get to dictate what colors your families wear.

Ask all the bridesmaids for their first choice and their second choice color. Then you that info to balance out the 3 colors in your bridesmaids.

I would let your family where what they want rather than dictating their attire. In my opinion, different dress styles in different colors is going to look so disorganized and very distracting to your guests. I would either do one of the other, but not both.

Ok so I think you should just talk to them and ask what color they prefer and just make sure that at least one picks each color you want.
I told my bridesmaid which color they need and then gave them choices between style of dresses. I told them to let me know which style they’d prefer and that I preferred if each of them wore something different but that if two of them liked the same dress we could still work it out then. It wasn’t hard they all ended up liking different dresses.
