So I’m having a hard time deciding on wedding colors. We are doing a rustic theme and I want to incorporate sunflowers somehow because I’ve loved them since I was a child. FH wants blues for the color theme but I haven’t really seen many colors that I think go well with sunflowers other than light greens.

The venue we chose is an outdoor garden (pics below - although they don’t do it and the waterfalls justice) so I don’t want to overpower the landscape but I also don’t want to blend in completely. Suggestions?

I wish I had taken more pictures when we were there. I was just so excited by how pretty it was that I forgot 😅

Kristin, your venue is GORGEOUS 🥰 can’t wait to see photos of your wedding!! Sounds to me sunflowers are a must! 👍 one thought is a sunflower and neutral color palette with wild greenery to compliment your venue vegetation. The men could wear navy suits (very chic) if that will satisfy your fiancé on incorporating the blue.

Your venue is very pretty. Navy blue is a very common color to pair with sunflowers so I would have your colors be yellow (sunflowers) and navy blue since your fiancé likes blue. If you don't like navy blue then royal blue with yellow would be pretty too. Gray and navy blue with sunflowers would look good as well.

The navy does look good. I guess I didn't go far enough into a pinterest hole to find good pictures like these lol. The royal blue seems a bit much to me (especially since that is close to the University of Delaware colors where all of my cousins went to college).

The royal blue is very bright so I can definitely see why you might not like it. But the navy or gray are much more muted, but still very pretty. Pinterest is definitely the best place to look for inspiration. I also like red roses with sunflowers, but I'm not sure how would incorporate the blue your fiancé wants with red roses and sunflowers.

Hi there! I also had to have sunflowers in my wedding no matter what! I decided to go with a dusty blue to compliment the sunflowers, very similar to what Cyndy did above. So beautiful!
