Wedding colors with "Malibu"

I want my bridesmaid dresses to be "Malibu" blue from David's Bridal but I'm having a hard time picking a concrete second color. I was at first thinking of a darker purple but then I saw a picture of a Disney's Frozen theme party and my first thought was oh I love that combo! Then it was oh it's for a Disney party. LOL! So now I'm hesitant but haven't shared with anybody yet. We haven't picked out linens so maybe that would help.... but what are some opinions of what else could go? Fiancee didn't like green..... I want gray suits to go with the Malibu. *sigh* I'm so indecisive!

I really like the gray idea! I also think the purple would be great and don't think Frozen would come to mind once everything comes together. Have you looked at DB color, raspberry? I think it would look great with malibu and definitely doesn't bring Frozen to mind! Good luck, Laura!

That's so bright! I love bright colors.

What about something from this palate? Thank goodness for Pinterest; the blog is http://www.carrieloves.com/2012/03/spring-bouquet/.

Taylor- Right?! Sometimes I kick myself for not picking colors along these lines. Hopefully it's a helpful image.

I think as long as the purple is accent color, it would look beautiful and not "disney".

@mis red thats a lovely way to mix blue and pinks.

Maybe a gray purple? It would mute the Disney feel and blend beautifully with most grays. Usually with out seeming like the same color.

Kind of like this. It'd look great with what you're talking about, IMO.

I had turquoise and red actually, everything though was super colorful. The men had grey suits too. I think you could do something subtle like silver or even gold but you could do something bold like strawberry or royal purple. If you like the purple I don't think my first thought would be Frozen. It will still look like a wedding.

Here's a picture of the tables I had. If you are interested in the table overlays or sashes I might actually be selling them too since you mentioned linens.

We are doing purple bridesmaid dresses with teal and green decor highlights. We're using peacock feathers as our inspiration / color palette. The key is in balance. I think turquoise and purple can go together, but one has to be more of an accent color as to not be overpowering.

Thank you girls! We ordered the Malibu dresses this weekend and I have an apt for linens on Wednesday so hopefully I can make a decision. @ Laura I love those purples and grays that'd be great!
