Mike and I met online in a geek chat room / forum. I don't remember which one, but I'm fairly sure it was Star Wars related. After a few weeks of chatting, it came out that we lived about 10 minutes from each other. For our first date we went to a gf pizza place in Greenwood. For our first big date, he had tickets to the Myth Busters tour. The show was fun, but it was him dancing with me in the aisle after the show, to "I Can't Take My Eyes Off You," I remember most. That was when I first started thinking "I could love this man." We've gone to conventions together, family reunions, weddings, memorial services... We even made it though the emotional turmoil and his extended absence when he lost both of his grandmothers within a week of each other. He is the one I seek when I am in need of comfort. He is the one I want to gaze up at the majesty of the universe with. And he is almost always good for a laugh...except when I must groan because it is just that bad of a joke. He proposed on our two year anniversary. I said yes. Sorry, it wasn't a big production. We had been talking about it for a while, and I don't think either of us missed having a grand proposal.
