I am in need of wedding color suggestions..I think galaxy orchids are gorgeous and want them to be my wedding flowers. I've seen photos of them paired with turquoise bridesmaid dresses, which I love more than royal blue, so turquoise is a color I definitely want in my wedding palette. It's a favorite for me! I'm also huge into silver so I was planning of having that as subtle accenting here and there, such as my shoes, possibly a bouquet holder too, and my tiara. However, I don't know what third color would be complimentary to this?? I'd like to keep my aisle petals white, but is turquoise, white, and silver a suitable wedding color palette??
I know most weddings that have galaxy orchids are blue and purple themed, but I personally can't stand the look. (I'm picking galaxy orchids with mainly dark blue and turquoise and only a very subtle hint of purple. I'm trying to keep purple out of my wedding colors otherwise.)
Additionally, something I feel I have to consider is the fact my reception is gold themed. This just happens to be the main decor the ballroom has and the chiavari chairs there only come in gold. I love how it looks and don't think it will conflict at all with subtle hints of silver I have at the ceremony itself since the reception is at a different location (The Florentine in Birmingham, AL). But I still want to make sure my wedding colors will be a good fit with the gold.
I'm going for a light and airy elegant style with a pop of turquoise. Would appreciate your thoughts!
