Wedding Color Mania - What colors look best with sunflowers?

Tallissa, on December 8, 2020 at 12:28 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 24
Hi everyone!!
I’m so indecisive about my wedding colors *insert crying emoji here*. I know I want sunflowers. Any suggestions about what colors look best with sunflowers? Our wedding is 8/21/2021 and the ceremony and reception will be in a barn like venue. I like the idea of red with sunflowers but would like a second color to throw in so that it’s not too much red or sunflowers. HELP!!

I REALLY love the look of blue or black with sunflowers. It's sooo pretty. If you want red though, I think that grey would look really pretty with it!

Many times African Daisies, Gerbera, are used with Smaller sunflowers because a lot have that gold, and many have bold colors that stand up to that gold. Look at images of them, and see nature's
compatible colors. I am fond of the color of tri petal iris also called blue flag, and Japanese iris, strong blue-purple contrast
to sunflower gold and one reddish purple, all readily available this next year in bridesmaid dresses. This spring starts a year of purple. And also some tangerines, paler oranges, and red orange and red-brown cinnamon are around too.Wedding Color Mania - What colors look best with sunflowers? 2

Red & orange really play off the yellow of the sunflower.

Sunflowers are my absolute favorite so I was going to have them at my wedding no matter the season. But our date is in May so I went with a dusty blue to go with the sunflowers and other muted florals. Everything is tying together so well and I can't wait to see everything on the day of!

I’m considering navy, but hubby hates that color. I spoke to him on his lunch break and he told me to send him a few pictures so he could have an idea of how it looked

You could add lots of cream and greenery to break it up a little bit.

Burgundy with hues of yellows, oranges and maybe a pop of a dusty blue would look nice!

Okay .. so I discussed it with hubby and we’re thinking Burgundy, Navy, and sunflowers. But he doesn’t want to wear a navy colored suit (he prefers grey). Something very similar to the picture I loaded. Would it look okay if groomsmen wore the the grey suits with tie color to match bridesmaid dresses instead of navy suits?
