Wedding Ceremony Songs

How many songs do you have for the ceremony? I have one for the seating of the family, best man and groom. One song for the MOH and a song for me the bride of course lol. What do you think?

Hey Peggy. Yes I do have a song for the recessional also. But my wedding party is very small. Should I have more than that?

We are just doing 1 song. Not sure of that 1 yet, maybe our song (I'll be by Edwin McCain omg what a story we have for that one!! We both love that song. One day we were just strolling through the grocery store and it happened to come on. I had been thinking about what sing we should have as ours for the events next year. Well. This song came on and I looked at him and said "what about this one?" He looked at me like he didnt know what I was talking about. I said "for our song? It's been 7 years and we still dont have one. We both love this song. So why not?" He goes "yeah! Okay!! Its perfect!!!" And that's the story of our song lol) we are skipping the bridal March and those types of things. Just going to play random music before hand and when I get ready to take my walk I'll hit the button to put on our song. (Spotify playlists!!! Not paying for a DJ because why!! Were not planning on dancing or any of that so just throwing some random songs we like, and guest requests over a bluetooth speaker and there we go! Also, I'm cheap as heck!!)

    Ali,

I’m cheap also. It was supposed to be small intimate wedding and now it’s 80-100 people. Still not having anyone in the wedding. Don’t have time for the wedding headache and drama.

Three preludes (for while people were waiting/getting seated). One for the processional of everyone except us. One for the bridal processional. Three for the ketubah signing. One for the recessional. Three for the postlude (while people were gathering their things and leaving).

Pre-ceremony songs: played ~20 mins before the ceremony once guests have settled in.

Processional song #1: groom, groomsmen, FFIL/FMIL, my mom, bridesmaids

Processional song #2: flower girl and ring bearers, then me. Smiley laugh

Thanks you everyone for the feedback. I have less than 58 days to go for my wedding. Still have a lot of planning to do.

We don't have a wedding party other than our sons who will escort us down the aisle and stand as our best men. We also didn't want to put focus on parents in case her dad can't make it, and my parents sometimes have trouble walking. We don't have much but we will be playing a song as guests settle and our officiant walks in. We then have her processional, my processional, and our recessional song. I think what you have is perfect.

1 for the seating of the family and bridal party processional
    1 for me and dad
1 for unity candle (not necessary though, it's just background noise)
    1 for our recessional.

    Worked out great for us.
