Wedding centerpieces... should all of them be the same?

Lorena, on June 20, 2019 at 11:54 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 16

Hello!

I am getting married this Fall and I am having a dilemma about centerpieces. I am going to have about 10 tables and I was thinking how different centerpieces with the same flowers (of course) would look like?
I wanted to do:
2 tables with tall vases (mercury gold) 24" tall
3 tables with a wreath around candle holders (mercury gold holders) 16" tall
5 tables with regular centerpieces and little candle holders around the flower vase ( small crystal vase with mercury gold candle holders) 8" tall

Do you think this would look too off?
I am adding some pictures of the inspiration for the vases. As I said all the flowers will be the same. The smallest centerpiece will have a lot more flowers than the one in the inspiration and the candle holders will be mercury gold

I don't think they all have to be the same. I am doing 5 tables with fresh flower arrangements and the other 5 will be lanterns and candles and maybe even some wood slices.

I don't think they all need to be the same but I do imagine it may look a bit chaotic but again, I've seen people do where each table is its own theme

Depends on the set up of the tables. Will you have a center table or tables ? They could all be the same to look like one big table , then just alternate the others so it flows Smiley smile

They are round tables. Is that what you meant? They are all having gold vases and flowers. The style of what is holding the flowers would be the only thing that is different

I don't think they all have to be the same. If I were varying mine, which I did consider, then I'd just want to make sure that each table was similarly decorated in terms of volume/fanciness. Like I wouldn't want to do a candle on a mirror plate for one and then a yard-tall floral arrangement one table over.

We will have all different ones, 3 tall and 5 short. But each one will differ slightly. I think yours will look nice!

I don't think they have to be the same at all! I have definitely learned from this site that there are no real rules to weddings ceremonies or receptions these days. Everyone is different with varying budgets, taste & ideas. Do what you want! I am sure it will be pretty.

Awe. You are very welcome. This site has given me tons of ideas & support. I have no one really close to, to bounce ideas off of. I have tons of people I talk to but no body that is helping me plan or do stuff. So I love to encourage others and let them know that from what I have read...in the end, you do what makes you happy & you can afford. You still have to live after the wedding. Lol

That's what someone told me & I thought I would pass it along. Lol. I was like, "ummm yeah"! I plan on having a fun party & I hope no one remembers anything other than enjoying themselves & that things were pretty. Lol

If that is your vision then go for it! Personally I would be too OCD to have mismatched centerpieces but if you like that look and that's what you picture on your wedding day then its perfect!
