Wedding cancelled

Im finding deposits will not be refunded if we cancel. For some vendors we wont lose money if we postpone only. And for some we still lose money when we postpone. Businesses are taking a loss. Keep in mind that a business will cover themselves before they help the customer.

This is the 3rd time we've lost out on deposits. Its always something. Even though we went getting married until next year, we ended up cancelling our big reception due to me recently getting laid off from work.


Since we cancelled, we're not getting any money back. I feel if the vendor/venue was going to cancel on you anyway, you should get your money back. That hardly seems fair but I guess worse things have happened. I wish you the best of luck no matter what happens.
