Wedding Cancellation Insurance

Due to everything that is happening now and not knowing how long this will take, should couple buy cancellation insurance? If yes what do you recommend?

    Check the policy's terms & conditions for cancellations before purchasing. I saw one bride post yesterday about cancellation insurance for weddings and anyone who purchased their insurance (through that company, whichever it was) December 2019 or earlier is covered for COVID-19 cancellation as an "unforeseen circumstance". But anything after that, it was no longer considered an unforeseen circumstance.

    That being said, we bought our wedding insurance through theeventhelper.com. They were cheaper than WedSafe (heard good things about them too) and we had no issues with them. But can't stress enough, be sure to read through the agreement thoroughly! I'm almost willing to bet that any insurance purchased now might not cover COVID-19 cancellations.

    Exactly this. Except it most likely won't. And some specifically wont cover a pandemic.

    I think it’s unlikely you’ll be covered for the pandemic at this point, but you should absolutely research it.

    Every insurance place I have looked will not issue cancellation insurance because of this.

    What if the venue filed bankruptcy because of this? Would that be covered?
