There’s no right or wrong time to do it! Our date is 9/12/20 and we already had our tasting in December!

Might as well schedule it now and knock it off your to-do list!!

We're getting married August 1, 2020. Our coordinator at our venue told us to make an appointment in December. When I tried to call during that time, they had already been booked for all the days we were available. So we're having our cake tasting tomorrow. I would just make an appointment as soon as you can, like pp said, it's something to knock off your to-do list!

We did our tasting 8 months before our wedding date and booked her the next day.

Our wedding was in July and we did our tasting in May. The bakery was included in our venue contract.

Anytime! If you contact her see how far out she is booked. Some may still be a month or two wait anyway.

I think that depends on you and your baker. But I don't think there is ever a wrong time. My FH and I are getting married on February 29th (Leap Day), and we had our cake tasting the beginning of December. Our baker told us she'd be in contact with us the middle of February to make sure we didn't need/want to change the design or any of the flavors of our cake.

I do suggest, if you do your tasting early, to get back into contact with your baker the month of your wedding to verify everything. I'm an extremely organized person and plan absolutely everything in extreme detail. When we went to see her in December I already had all of the information for her printed out for all of our venue information; where it's located, where she should enter (just in case she hadn't delivered a cake there before, which luckily she has), the name and number of our venue coordinator and the name of number for our day of contact person who is a member of my family. Our venue coordinator also has her name and number as well as all of our other vendors so she can contact them if she needs to.
