Wedding Cake

We're doing something similar, but we have a 1/2 sheet cake with a small two-tier cutting cake (along with cupcakes). I think you could just get a very small one-tier cake to cut if you want to be traditional about it. Otherwise you could skip the cake cutting entirely or just cut into a cupcake!

I have seen people just cut a cup cake and I have also seen people just cut right in to a sheet cake. I personally am making a desert bar and will make a cutting cake to cut. I will just be a small 8" cake. We will have cupcakes on out dessert bar for the cake eaters.

Hi Caila! Like Christine & Molly have said - you can do whatever you want! More and more of my friends have been skipping the cake cutting entirely - sometimes due to their dessert choice and sometimes to just cut out another series of posed pictures!

You can also cut a small single tier cake, or one of your cupcakes!

Thanks for your response, but we want both at the wedding. We have decided on a small circle cake for us to cut.
