Im getting married in 6 months and I’m looking at wedding cakes. I found these two beautiful cakes online. Which one do you guys think I should go with? Just wanted some opinions.

I like the second cake better. The first one looks to girly and princessy to me. The wedding cake represents both the groom and the bride so I like the second one much better. Which one do you like better?

The first one is made with fondant to get that look, which is expensive due to extra labor and goes in the trash because people don’t like the flavor or texture and they want the buttercream underneath.

The second can be made with buttercream or whipped cream if you want sharper edges. The cake in the picture is fondant due to the rounded edges. But ask your fiancé because it is their wedding too and should reflect them as well.

I would make contact with actual bakers in your area and price out both options in real life. Currently with just internet inspiration photos to go on, it might be tricky.
