Mine is going to be $425. Doing a small cake for us two and then about 150 cupcakes. We're not doing crazy designs. I hate fondant, and are more concerned with delicious desserts!

350 for a 3 tier buttercream cake. We didn't want fondant, and the design will be pretty but simple.

So far we are being quoted about $700. But of course we just made a slight change in design so waiting on the new quote. It is 4 tiers, 2 tiers are more technical flavors so those costed a bit more.

We're doing cupcakes. Will be about $300-$400 depending on final guest count, will allow everyone to have about 2 cupcakes each.

For us, we are having two cakes. The first cake will be a 6'' rosette style cake for cutting and picture purposes. That will cost $80 dollars for us. Then, we will be doing a full slab cake for our guests which will be around $75 dollars. So in approximate total is: $155. Not too bad if you ask me, haha!

Andrea, that’s the best I’ve seen. All these cakes are so expensive! I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around $300-700 cakes that will be eaten in minutes!

As a pastry chef I didn’t want to cheap it out on the one day it counts. I found someone who I trusted to make out 4 1/2 tier cake. The cost is $919.

Tell me about it, girl! But how we saw it was, cake is not really essential to the reception as it was once thought to be. We were worried spending 700 dollars on a cake that could be potentially wasted. But we wouldn't mind if there was still half of a full slab cake left over by the end of the night. Since we're only spending only 75 dollars on a full slab, you know what I mean? Don't break the bank with the cakes, girlfriend. Try and go the sensible route if you can help it!!Smiley heart

We are thinking we need a 3 tier for 65 people...honestly I have no clue yet haha but we were going to do a different flavor for each tier. After reading the responses on here we are going to do one flavor to help cut back on cost. What flavors are involved with your cake and how many people are you feeding?

$135 (before tax) for our 2 tier cake. We also had a full dessert far that our baker prepared for us at an additional cost.

Ours was $350 and each layer was a different flavor. We were quoted $3.50 per slice and got enough for 100 guest because my Grandmother gifted my Husband a cheesecake tower with 100 mini cheesecakes as his grooms cake. Wedding cake 2

$60 for our cake and $200 for donuts for our guests. We got enough for every guest to have one of each flavor we ordered. I will be buying individual dessert boxes so we are using the donuts as favors and dessert!

For the rosette cake it is going to be vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream. For the full slab it's going to be vanilla cake, vanilla filling. Pretty simple and would be agreeable with most of our guests!! We're expecting 128 people!!
