I know naked cake is kind of a thing right now but I love fully decorated fondant cake with sugar flowers. What's you cake going to be like/What cake did you have at your wedding? Show your cake pics!!

No fondant for me. I think the texture and taste is just awful. It may technically be edible, but I'd likely spit it out, which wouldn't be a good bridal look.

Our venue does in house catering and the owner/chef is award winning and apparently makes incredible cakes. She uses local, high quality, farm-to-table ingredients and flat out told me she won't use fondant on cakes because she feels the same way I do about fondant. I don't actually like cake much, so my FH and I haven't settled on if we will even have a cake, but he and I and our caterer all like the idea of a naked cake with buttercream frosting and real flowers for decoration if we do end up going the cake route.

If you love fondant, I would say go with fondant. My FH and I like buttercream frosting better and the wonderful lady making our cake is known for her buttercream frosting in my area. My FH and I want something simple for our cake. This is the photo I'm showing her when I meet with her in a few weeks!

I refuse to have a naked cake. Frosting my FH and my favorite part. Id rather have frosting for people to "scrape" off, then not have any at all. I feel like naked cakes look unfinished and unappetizing. Hard pass on the nakedness.

We will be doing a small fondant tiered cake for cutting. Our guests will be served frosted cake. The baker we picked makes sheet cakes to use for serving -No Fondant. And it's only $3/pp.

We are doing a semi-naked cake. Definitely no fondant, as both the bride and I despise the flavor of it. It's a 4 layer cake with different fillings for the layers (I couldn't recall them if you paid me but I know one is a raspberry amaretto!).

We love frosting so fondant wasn’t an option for us. No mater what you pick, it will be perfect.

We just had a simple 3 tier cake with buttercream icing and buttercream filling. each was topped with a fresh raspberry when served to the table.

I do LOVE the look of naked cakes. but love the intricate designs of fondant. I just find the fondant is not so tasty :/

Buttercream icing here! (IMO) Fondant is only good visually for creating smooth and detailed designs, because the tase and texture is 👎🏽 👎🏽. Also not doing a naked cake either because that always seems rustic/boho in style with an unfinished appearance.
