Has anyone used or planning on using greenery on their wedding cake. If so, what did you use? Any advice?

Hi Ashley! I personally have not used greenery on a wedding cake, but found some photos that may help you with ideas!

I love that photo Ashley! I would check with your bakery. I am sure they have had similar requests before and can make recommendations.

I'm planning on using greenery for my cake with flowers here and there. Eucalyptus is a really pretty and affordable greenery depending on the style your going for!

And remember you can always use fake flowers! Sometimes you can find really nice ones at the dollar store

It's a very pretty cake! Fresh greenery can be tricky. You'll want to make sure that whatever you use is food safe. Even though you won't be eating it, the greenery in that picture is touching the buttercream, so you want to make sure it's safe. And you will probably want to test it out ahead of time to make sure it doesn't leave a strong unpleasant flavor on your cake. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the greenery in the picture in the original post is lavender, with a few lavender flowers included.

I used fresh berries on the actual cake but used garland around the base of the cake stand.

I will be having greenery on my cake as well. It will look like this but with blue and purple fresh flowers and it will be 4 tiers.

We will be keeping it simple and only using eucalyptus. We have eucalyptus all over our venue and it’ll be really clean looking without too many flowers!
