Wedding Cake Flavors??

One that I want to get is raspberry/vanilla swirl. Chocolate/vanilla swirl will probably be a layer option too. Maybe chocolate chip.

Each tier will be two flavors, sour cream pound cake (think vanilla flavor but not called vanilla) and chocolate sour cream pound cake. The inner icing will be hot cocoa buttercream and the white outer icing will be whites chocolate buttercream. Our cake will be dense and moist and delicious! I hate when cakes are too light and airy and taste cheap. Our baker has also made all of FH families cakes for weddings/bday/anniversary for decades. She still remembers making FMIL wedding cake! So pumped!

Also remember if each tier is a different flavor, you're inviting people to have more than one piece of cake since they might want to taste multiple flavors. Therefore you need more cake and more money. If you want two flavors they should go together in each tier so most people only take 1 piece and get to taste all of the flavors in one piece.

We had a fall wedding. Vanilla cake, two layers with chocolate mousse, one layer with raspberry mousse. It was fabulous. Enjoy the ride!

I’m obsessed with lemon cake so we’re having lemon but will also have chocolate & vanilla!

We did brownie for chocolate- I don't like chocolate cake but brownies are my weakness. Carrott cake- my favorite. Vanilla. Reece- chocolate cake with peanut butter icing and reeces candy on top. And salted caramel- vanilla cupcake with caramel on the bottom.

We have lemon, vanilla, and chocolate, 4 layer cake. So excited the tasting was amazing. We’ve already gotten a small 6” cake from the baker for thanksgiving lol can’t stay away. Our flavors aren’t fancy but they will be delicious I hope!

We are doing salted caramel cake with red velvet and strawberry cream cupcakes.

We’re doing two tiers of vanilla cake with cannoli filling and one tier of vanilla with fresh strawberries and vanilla custard.

We’re doing a three tier vanilla with a white raspberry filling in the middle mayer and Bailey’s Irishh cream filling on the top and bottom. We’ll also have a groom’s cake that will be red velvet

We’re doing red velvet with cream cheese frosting, traditional white wedding cake and dark chocolate cake with praline filling.

We are doing 2 tiers of red velvet cake with green tea/matcha buttercream, and 2 tiers of chocolate cake with hazelnut buttercream and fresh strawberries. I can't wait to dig in!!!

We had a 5-flavor pound cake and a vanilla cake with raspberry filling and chocolate buttercream icing. Both were really good.

One tier almond cake with amaretto cream filling, and one tier lemon cake with blackberry mousse filling. Ahhhh so good.

Well mine sounds boring now lol. We will have the base layer vanilla, a chocolate layer and a strawberry layer. I wanted to cover all the bases while keeping it relatively simple.

We are doing two flavors. One is almond flavor with raspberry jam and the other is spice cake with apricot jam (since we are getting married in the fall).

cake tasting has been one of my favorite parts of wedding planning!

I was SO EXCITED to try some of the more elaborate cake flavors at our bakery (my fiancé and I are both crazy about lemon!) but when we tasted the traditional almond cake with brown butter buttercream icing, there was no hope for anything else. Traditional is the way to go, apparently!
