Wedding byob and Own Caterer

Melissa, on September 16, 2019 at 7:25 AM Posted in Planning 0 9

Hi All,

First off thank you all in advance for helping and commenting below. Heres the deal, my fiance is in the military so we are currently stationed in Mass. We are from San Diego and would like to get married for less than $10k. Ideally a venue that allows BYOB and bring own caterer. I assume it would be cheapest best option that is better suited to our vision.

PLEASE, anyone who has found this or has had a wedding similar to above, please let me know where. It has been so hard to get honest reviews and coordinating from across the country. Again, thank you all!!!

Guest count: less than 100

Type of Wedding: Rustic, beach front, outdoorsy. Not too picky considering we are on a budget.

Location: In San Diego and not too far East, or North. Ideally near downtown slash the beach/bay

Best,

Mel

Is there a certain vision you have for you'd wedding? Like rustic, modern, outdoorsy?
Also how many guests? Have you had a chance to peek at the vendors tab?

    Http://www.sdparks.org/content/sdparks/en/buttons/WeddingsButton.html Found this for you

http://www.sdparks.org/content/sdparks/en/park-pages/FallbrookCommunityCenter.html and this one has a kitchen so your caterer of choice can clean up easily or you could do drop off food from a restaurant.

I don't know the area at all, but it might be worth looking into state parks - they often have really beautiful outdoor areas, and sometimes also have indoor banquet style rooms that can be a great venue on a budget.

Contact the state beaches for their rules/regulations and pricing. Often times it's a matter of a permit and fee, to have a wedding at the beach or a local state park. The upside is that you would provide your own alcohol and catering. The downside can be that you have to rent absolutely everything, from tables and chairs, to linens, dishes, glasses, silverware, etc. So, check into public access spaces, and some may come with clubhouses that can be used as a reception room, etc.
