Wedding Bug Photography Studio

My fiancé was doing some research on wedding photography and found Wedding Bug. Has anyone used them? Are they like Bella Pictures? Would love any advice and information!

    I am wondering the same thing. Their prices are unlike any other photography vendors I have found. When I research them I can only find conversations like the one that is taking place on The Knot. They have NO reviews on any other wedding sites, the only reviews from "happy" couples I can find are on their own webpage. They list awards they have received from The Knot and Brides.com, however their websites have little to no information on them beyond the standard.

    Then, when I research the company itself, The Wedding Bug, it appears to have just been incorporated through their parent company in early 2011.

    Just seems a bit fishy to me. I want to hear from an actual couple who used them, but not from their site.

    I don't have a very high opinion of them...They somehow got my email address from the Knot, and suddenly randomly started emailing me, setting up an account for me, with no option of how to unsubscribe. Just got another email from a 'Sabrina Landry'.

    I have never contacted any photographers, but they seem to think they know my wedding date just because I put a tentative date on the knot. I don't get a good feeling about them.

    Awful! Don't trust them! I used them for my wedding and it was HORRIBLE. The photographer cut off everyone's heads, INCLUDING my husbands, IN THE CEREMONY AND FORMAL PHOTOS. They are all rude, all inexperienced and awful! You get what you pay for and this was a last minute mistake for me!

    I agree with Sam K. except they were not rude to us just inexperienced and awful. The photos are some of the worst pictures I've ever seen - they make DMV photos look good.

    Everyone looks like they were under an interrogation lamp which is especially strange since it was a night wedding. We asked the photographer to use a less intense flash several times but he refused. The lighting issue were worst of many issues but we luckily didn't have any cut off heads. I won't go into the other issues.

    I much prefer the photos that our guest took with their cell phones. If I didn't know a professional photo retoucher I would have trashed the CD entirely. She was able to fix some of them.

    I was taken in by the "best of weddings" award from the Knot along with the site photos and testimonials, I regret it - don't be fooled.

    Don't use Wedding Bug Studio under any circumstances!

    I am shocked that this company is still in business with a motto that because you pay less, don’t expect good quality. You probably didn’t see that on the website, we didn’t either. We were told about it after we received horrible pictures and complained to management. I guess we should have realized they were scam artists when they refuse to take credit cards so you are unable to dispute that they do not provide the service you paid for.

    Before I talk about picture quality, be advised you will not get all the pictures expected. Even with big wedding moments, you are lucky to get one picture. We also were not sent all of the pictures, probably because of the poor quality. The resolution and framing are horrible. After we complained, they tried to use Photoshop. The color and lighting they used was so disgusting that it is anger-provoking. I am not going to get personal about the photographer, but I will say that you need to be on time on a wedding day.

    I will let you know the company informed us that they do not ask the photographers to meet any qualifications. They determine who to let go by the number of complaints that they get. So you are the Guinea Pig! I bet you didn’t see that on the website either.

    We were all about saving some money and didn’t expect to get $5,000 service, but our guests took better pictures. The emotional distress my wife has experienced over this is not worth saving the money. The management that my wife has dealt with has been awful. They first admitted that we would get a full refund because of the pictures. The next person has been nasty towards my wife and said she is being too emotional about her wedding pictures. Is this the company you want capturing one of the most important days of your life? When we received half a refund the back of the check is stamped, “ENDORSEMENT OF THIS CHECK SUBSTANTIATES A RESOLUTION OF ALL CLAIMS.” The fact that they need this stamp indicates just how many unhappy cu

    Well, I am happy I got your reviews on here> I paid the deposit, but have not paid in full yet. If I don't get the deposit back, it will not even be that big of a deal to me. I was worried since I could not find reviews anywhere as well. Now that I have yours, I will spend the extra, and find a way to make it work!, PHEW!!!!! THANKS TO ALL OF YOUR COMMENTS I FEEL SAVED
